Daily Prayer Focus: The Holy Spirit’s Guidance

 Today, we are asking for the Holy Spirit’s GUIDANCE.

Thank you, God for giving me your Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, I know that You live within me as my Comforter, Teacher, and Counselor. Please continue to guide and direct me as I follow you. Help me to know when You are leading me and to listen to Your voice in my heart when You speak to me. I pray that you would put Godly people in my path to speak truth into my life and help me to listen. I pray that you would speak to me through Your Word, and show me how to choose the path you have set before me that I can glorify You.

Daily Prayer Focus: Seniors

“The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God. They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green, to declare that the Lord is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.” -Psalm 92:12-15

Today, our prayer focus is for SENIORS in our community.

Thank you, God, for the older generations in our area. Thank you that You never stop pursuing and loving people. Please give me Your heart to show kindness and love to those who are older, and work in their hearts to see and believe Your love for them. I pray for safety and provision for so many seniors in this area who are lonely and in need. Bring your care and comfort, and help the Church to see and act in love toward all those in need around us.

Daily Prayer Focus: Singles

 Today, we are praying for those who are SINGLE.

Thank you, God, for your abundant love and grace in our lives. Thank you for Your Holy Spirit who brings wholeness in our soul. I pray for those who are single in our churches to be completely satisfied and encouraged by your Holy Spirit today. I pray for purity in their hearts and lives as Your children who are seeking to honor you. For those who desire to be married, I pray for your perfect timing and provision of a spouse who knows and loves Jesus above all else.

Daily Prayer Focus: Children & Youth

“Children are a blessing and a gift from the Lord.” (CEV) -Psalm 127:3

 Today, our prayer focus is the CHILDREN and YOUTH in our area.

Thank you, Jesus, for the children you have put in my life. Thank you for the privilege and responsibility you have entrusted to me to show them what it looks like to know You. Please help me and all of the parents in our local churches to be filled with Your patience, Your love, and Your care for them. Protect them from the evil one and from those who mean them harm. Give them an early understanding of who You are and of Your great love for them. Help them to grow in their love for You and follow you for all of their lives. 

Daily Prayer Focus: Marriages

“However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.” - Ephesians 5:33

 Today we are praying for MARRIAGES.

Thank you, Lord, for the marriages in our community. Please let those who are married see the gift that they have been given and find joy in their marriage. Show each husband the treasure he has been given in the wife You have given him, and help him to love her with Your power and strength. I pray for each wife to recognize the influence she has on her husband and to love and submit to him as worship to You. Help our marriages to reflect the beauty of Your love for Your Church and to be filled with your presence and power.

 Today, we are praying for the POWER of the Holy Spirit in our church gatherings.

God, thank you for your Church. Thank you that we have the unique freedom to be able to gather together and worship your name, be taught from your Word, and fellowship in Christian community with one another. Pour out your Holy Spirit on us as we gather in various places today to praise and seek You. Work in our hearts today and make us more like You. Give us Your vision and Your heart for those around us. And help us to walk in obedience and the power of your Holy Spirit as we go into this new week.

Daily Prayer Focus: Health

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” -3 John 1:2

 Today, our prayer focus is HEALTH.

God, thank you that You are our Savior, our Friend, and our Healer. Thank you for being a Good Father who understands our needs and cares about our pain. I ask you to show your power and glory in meeting the needs of those who are suffering and sick today. Help me to remember to come to you with my own sickness and suffering, and help me to trust in your goodness and love for me and those around me. Please comfort those in need of comfort, and pour out your grace and mercy on those who are sick.

Daily Prayer Focus: Workplace

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” -Colossians 3:23-24

 Today, we are taking time to pray for our WORKPLACES.

God thank you for your goodness and your presence in my life. Thank you that you know everything about me and have prepared good works in advance for me to walk in. I pray that as I go about my daily routines, that I would be more aware of Your presence with me and recognize the opportunities You’ve given me to bring You glory throughout my day. Give me more opportunities to speak about You, to serve others, and to work hard as unto you. Help me to be empowered by Your Holy Spirit to walk in the good works you have prepared for me today. 

Daily Prayer Focus: Christ Redeeming People

Today, we are praying for SALVATIONS in our community!

God, thank you for being my Savior. Thank you for your wonderful gift of salvation. Help me to remember the great love you have for me and for all those around me. I pray that you would work in the lives of those who do not believe in You. Show them your great love and kindness. Give me opportunities to share Your gospel and to love the people you place in my life each day. I pray for your mercy on those who are rebelling against you and ask that Your Spirit softens their hearts. Thank you for your patience and love. 

Daily Prayer Focus: Local Government Leaders

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” -1 Timothy 2:1-2

 Today, our focus is to pray for our local GOVERNMENT.

God, thank you for the leaders you have placed in my life. I pray that you would give strength and encouragement to all those you’ve placed in positions of authority. I pray for wisdom as they lead our country, our state, and our cities. I pray for the leadership in our country to be softened to hear Your voice and follow after You. Please pour out your blessings on all those who have been called to lead and for humility and grace to fill their hearts.

Daily Prayer Focus: Unity in the Body of Christ

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.” -Psalm 133

 Today, our focus is to pray for UNITY within the Church. 

God, thank you for giving us a family in Christ. Thank you that you died and rose again to restore and redeem us to You. Help Your Church to see one another as family. Help us to love each other and to show Your grace. Help us to speak truth in love. Bring unity to your Church. Help the churches in our community to see beyond any differences for the sake of serving Jesus and Your kingdom.

Daily Prayer Focus: Our City

“But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.” -Jeremiah 29:7

Today our focus is praying for our CITIES. Whether you live in Boynton Beach, Lake Worth, or Delray Beach, God has placed you in your city for a purpose. Take some time today to pray for your city.

God, thank you for the community you placed me in. Thank you for this area and the people who live around me. I pray that you would work in the hearts and lives of the people in my city to see who You are and that lives would be transformed by the love of Jesus. I pray for revival in the hearts of those who already know you. I ask, Jesus, that you would pour out your Holy Spirit in my city, and use me as your servant to show your love and faithfully pray for those around me.
